Monterey Bay F.C. and Montage Health Foundation are kicking off Health and Wellness Month with a day dedicated to diabetes awareness. Be one of the first 2,000 fans to enter Cardinale Stadium and receive a Don’t Feed the Diabetes MBFC rally towel. Blue Zones Project Monterey County will have a presence at the match with a pop-up tent in the Union Plaza. In addition, meet the diabetes “Beast” at the Don’t Feed the Diabetes tent, and six fans will have the opportunity to race against the Beast during the night’s halftime festivities.
The Montage Health Foundation proudly supports the fight against diabetes in Monterey County. Their generous grant-making helps fund diabetes prevention programs available to thousands of county residents, resulting in positive healthy lifestyle changes for both adults and children at no cost. In fact, 45% of Monterey County residents have prediabetes or type 2 diabetes and only 1 in 3 know they even have it.
