EVERY DAY MEDIA POLICY
All Monterey Bay F.C. press releases and announcements are sent via email. To be placed on the distribution list, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Members of the media requesting an interview with any Monterey Bay F.C. players, coaches or leadership at any time must make arrangements with MBFC’s Communications Staff:
MATCH DAY MEDIA POLICY
Credentialed media members attending a match will be allowed access to the VIP Parking Lot (Southwest Lot) for that game if an RSVP has been submitted at least 72 hours prior to the match. Those with Season credentials must still RSVP no later than 72 hours prior to each match to guarantee PARKING.
Monterey Bay F.C. single-match media credentials will be available for pickup at the ticketing box office inside the Union Plaza beginning two hours prior to kick off, or via contacting Steven Vargo directly. Each person must pick up their own credentials and present corresponding photo identification. Bibs will be provided to any field level photographers/videographers. Following the first home match of the season, photographers with Season credentials will only be required to pick up a bib. Professional behavior while in possession of a credential is expected at all times. Any unauthorized use of a credential will result in ejection from Cardinale Stadium and confiscation of the credentials.
SEATING / PRESS AREA
The designated Press Area at Cardinale Stadium is located on the South side of the stadium and will open two hours prior to kickoff. All credentialed members of the written press will be assigned a seat OUTSIDE of the press box, provided an RSVP was made to email@example.com at least 72 prior to the match. Please dress warm for evening matches. If an RSVP is not submitted by the deadline, a seat in the designated Press Area cannot be promised. Those with Season credentials must still RSVP no later than 72 hours prior to each match to guarantee seating.
Game notes and statistics will be available digitally, no hard copies will be delivered during the match. Requests for this information should be made to Steven Vargo.
Bibs will be provided upon arrival and must be worn at all times (must also be returned after the match). Photographers will only be allowed to shoot from the endlines. NO South sideline (bench-side) access will be allowed at any time. If photographers wish to switch sides of the field, they may do so by way of the North sideline and ONLY as a means to get to the other endline. Photographers shall NOT stop to shoot from the sideline for any reason. Approved photographers will be allowed to shoot from inside the field boards from the beginning of the player walk-out ceremony, through the National Anthem, and until the conclusion of pregame lineup photos. However, said photographers may NOT set up any further onto the field than the white sideline marker in front of team benches and must clear out immediately following pregame lineup photos.
On-field postgame interviews with players will be allowed for the TV/stream broadcast crew by request only. Approximately fifteen minutes after the final whistle, a postgame media availability will begin on the West end of the stadium. At that time, Monterey Bay F.C. Head Coach Frank Yallop and two players will be made available to attending media for questions. A postgame quote sheet will be distributed via email following each match.
