Match Preview: Monterey Bay FC Looks to Finish Season Strong Against Las Vegas Lights FC
SEASIDE, California (Saturday, October 24, 2026) – One last time at Cardinale Stadium this season. Monterey Bay FC closes out its 2026 USL Championship campaign on Saturday, October 24, welcoming Las Vegas Lights FC to the Central Coast for a 7:00 p.m. PT kickoff. The Crisp-and-Kelp will look to give their home supporters something to celebrate and finish the season on a high note.
Monterey Bay FC
Monterey Bay comes into the season finale looking to bounce back after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC last weekend. Despite the result, the Crisp-and-Kelp will have one final opportunity to put together a strong performance at home and reward the fans who have supported the club throughout the season.
With the final whistle bringing the regular season to a close, Monterey Bay will be eager to compete from the opening minutes, create chances in the attacking third, and send its supporters home with three points.
Las Vegas Lights FC
Las Vegas arrives in Seaside after a difficult 5-3 defeat to Lexington SC in its final match at Cashman Field. The Lights found the net three times through Carson Locker, Oalex Anderson, and Patrick Leal, but Lexington’s attacking pressure proved too much to overcome.
Despite the loss, captain Christian Pinzon helped keep Las Vegas in the contest with two assists and was subsequently named to the USL Championship Team of the Week. The Lights will now look to finish their season with a response on the road.
Head-to-Head
Saturday marks the second meeting between Monterey Bay and Las Vegas in the 2026 USL Championship regular season. The Lights claimed a 1-0 victory in the first league meeting in March, before also defeating Monterey Bay 3-2 in a dramatic Prinx Tires USL Cup matchup in July.
The Crisp-and-Kelp will look to turn the tables in the final meeting of the year, close out their home schedule with a win, and give the Cardinale Stadium faithful a memorable finish to the season.
