MONTEREY BAY F.C. SIGNS SALINAS NATIVE, FORMER MBFC2 GOALKEEPER FABIAN NAREZ TO 25-DAY CONTRACT
SEASIDE, California (Friday, April 12, 2024) – Monterey Bay Football Club (Monterey Bay F.C.) announced today that the club has signed former Monterey Bay F.C. 2 (MBFC2) goalkeeper Fabian Narez to a 25-day contract following the red card suspension of Carlos Herrera handed out after the final whistle of the Club’s match against Oakland Roots SC on April 6.
Narez, 29, is a Salinas native who played soccer collegiately for Hartnell College after graduating from Alisal High School. Last summer, Narez joined MBFC2 for its inaugural season in USL League Two and helped the team to a NorCal division championship and a playoff berth. Now, the goalkeeper makes the jump from MBFC2 to the first team, officially joining his hometown professional club.
